Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu
A land of sky-touching mountains, heart-warming people and heritages with deep religious values, Nepal is a blissful destination with plenty of worthy attractions. Enjoy a relaxing vacation in Nepal by opting for this holiday. On arrival at the airport, meet your MakeMyTrip representative and make your way to the hotel in a shared vehicle (SIC i.e. seat-in-coach). After relaxing for a while in the comfortable hotel room, visit Swayambhunath. Climb up the numerous steps to the main Stupa; explore various shrines and temples here. Go for a long stroll around Kathmandu’s Old Durbar Square. Dating back to the 17th and the 18th century, Durbar Square is a fabulous complex with an assortment of temples. Do explore the Temple of The Living Goddess, a beautiful building on Durbar Square. After the excursion, you would be dropped back at the hotel and evening is at leisure for you. If you want, you can go on personal expense to Thamel Square (at personal expenses) where you could wander around the streets, side streets and alleys to see interesting goods like shawls, Nepali carpets, trekking gear, walking gear, apparel, etc. As the night falls, relax in a comfortable hotel room.

 

Day 02 : In Kathmandu  |  Day At Leisure / Day Excursion of Chandra Giri Hills
Today, you have an option to either relax and spend the day at leisure or go for a day excursion to Chandra Giri Hills (Cable car tickets for Chandragiri has to be paid directly on the tour).
Chandragiri Hills, which is approximately 18 kilometers away from Kathmandu. Located at an altitude of 3500 meters, Chandragiri Hills feature a wealth of monuments of architectural beauty that date back to the eighth century and earlier. Go for a cable car ride (at direct payment basis) and enjoy a view of soaring peaks and the entire Kathmandu Valley covered with a lush green blanket of flora. Don’t forget to carry your camera as from the top one could see a panoramic view of mountains like Ganesh, Manaslu, Lantang, Dorje Lakpa and Jugal Himal.

After the tour, your evening would be at leisure. You could make your way to a casino and try your luck at the assortment of popular reel games and video slot machines (suggested activity at your own expense). Whether you’re a high roller or a newbie, the casinos in Nepal offers games of luck for everyone to enjoy. As the day comes to an end, relax in a comfortable room for an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Road Transfer to Pokhara
Rise and shine, and get ready to explore yet another charming destination of Nepal – Pokhara, an adventurer’s paradise. Bestowed with spectacular scenery, best paragliding and zip-lining venues and shimmering lakes, Pokhara is where you could experience the best of nature. On this day, you will embark on a six-hour drive through the mystical mountains to reach Pokhara. During the transfer in a shared vehicle, you will enjoy a short break for lunch / refreshments (Lunch cost not included; to be paid directly on the tour). Thereafter, you have a choice to visit the famous Manakamana Temple, sacred to Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. Post this relaxing stopover, continue your drive to Pokhara. On arrival, check-in at your place of stay and relax for a while in the comfortable room. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy the serenity and magnificence of the Himalayas or enjoy a leisurely walk around Phewa Lake (suggested activity at your own expense).

As the day comes to an end, make your way to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4 : Half-day city tour in Pokhara | Sunset at Sarangkot
On this day, you will be exploring the famous attractions of Pokhara. Start the day with an excursion to the Bindabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga. A view of the entire snow-line from this temple is sure to mesmerize you. You could also enjoy a stroll in the local markets which are on the way to this beautiful temple. Thereafter, head towards another prominent attraction, Devi’s Fall. This fall is locally known as Patale Chhango and is bestowed with immense natural beauty. Sit and spend some leisure time at this stunning site. Opposite to this place, is the Gupteshwar Cave, a pilgrimage site. This cave has magnificent natural statues and portraits of Hindu gods and goddesses.

In the evening, you will be heading for an excursion to Sarangkot, offering beautiful views of the hills, especially during sunset. On a clear day, the panoramic ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Ganesh Himal can be observed from here.

After an astounding day, retire to the comfortable hotel room for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5 : Road Transfer to Kathmandu
On this day, after breakfast, you will drive through the beautiful valleys to reach Kathmandu. Once there, check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for wishful independent activities; hence, you could visit the local markets to purchase souvenirs or to savour authentic Nepali food at the restaurants around the area (suggested activity at your own expense). It is also recommended to explore the narrow alleys of Freak Street, a great option if you are looking to pick up some traditional Tibetan woolen garments and jackets. Later, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6 :Visit to Pashupatinath | Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be exploring the famous attractions of Kathmandu today. Start by seeking blessings at the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world. Here you will get a special entry to perform Abhishek Pooja in the temple. Do pay your respects at the main sanctum of the temple, featuring a black, four-headed image of lord Pashupati. Up next, visit one of the largest stupas in the world – Boudhanath. Thereupon, you will make your way to the airport in a shared vehicle (SIC i.e. seat in coach basis) to board a flight for your onward journey.
